The final concert for the 2024 Deya International Music Festival season isn’t at Son Marroig but at the Sa Bassa Rotja ecotourism establishment in Porreres.

It features the Deia Chamber Players - three violins, one viola, two cellos and double bass - conducted by the festival director, Alfredo Oyaguez. The programme is broad, with works by Bach, Britten, Elgar and other composers, plus film scores.

In fact, this won’t really be the final concert as there are to be two special concerts later this month - one at the Miró Foundation in Palma on October 24 and the other at Son Marroig in Deya on October 26. These will mark a return to Mallorca for the Grammy Award-winning American cellist, Zuill Bailey.
