Brazilian Lenny Jay is said to be the world’s finest Michael Jackson tribute artist.
He spent several years with the ‘King of Pop’ show, receiving praise from the Jackson family itself. His resemblance, both physical and vocal, to Michael Jackson, is now showcased in ‘This is Michael’, a two-hour production that honours one of the world’s greatest popular music talents through his most emblematic songs.
Lenny Jay explains that he became a fan at the age of six, when he was given ‘The Best of Michael Jackson’ for his birthday. “Since then, I’ve never stopped listening to Michael”. On the effort and sacrifice that he has made in becoming such a leading tribute artist, Lenny says that “it is a very great responsibility”. He looks to transmit the energy of Michael Jackson’s own concerts - “the energy of peace, thankfulness and friendship”.
