Tribute to the Phantom in Palma

The Onbeat Company was created in 2017 in the Madrid heartland of musical productions, the Gran Via.

Its shows offer the great musicals of the 1980s and 1990s, one of which was staged for the first time in 2002 at the Teatro Lope de Vega on the Gran Via. This was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’, which sixteen years previously had premiered at Her Majesty’s Theatre (now His Majesty’s) in London’s Haymarket. It starred Lloyd Webber’s then wife, Sarah Brightman, and Michael Crawford as the Phantom, a role that was to gain him Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical.

The second longest-running West End musical after ‘Les Miserables’ and the third longest-running show behind ‘The Mousetrap’, the Onbeat Company is bringing its tribute to this classic of the musicals to Palma.
