The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final is the culmination of the Challenge Tour, the second-tier men’s professional golf tour in Europe and the stepping stone to getting the card for the main tour.
Since its inception in 1989, notable overall winners of the tour have included Tommy Fleetwood and Henrik Stenson. In 2000 Stenson won the final when it was held in Cuba.
The final moved to Mallorca from the Middle East in 2019, the tour having been dubbed ‘the road to Mallorca’. Alcanada Golf has been the venue on three occasions. This year will therefore be number four.
The top-ranked player on the tour is England’s John Parry, who has already won three times this season and has qualified for the European Tour regardless of the result of the Alcanada final.
