Tour de France green jersey winner in Mallorca's mountains

The final three trophies for this year's Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca are on Friday to Sunday.

The riders may not be taking in much of the scenery, but there's much they could be. The Serra de Tramuntana Trophy on Friday starts by Lluc Sanctuary and the Andratx-Mirador de Colomer (Formentor) Trophy on Saturday says it all. Sunday's Palma Trophy is from and then back to the Parc de la Mar in front of the Cathedral.

Among the star names racing in the challenge are Eritrean Biniam Girmay, who rides for the French-Belgian team Intermarché-Wanty. Winner of three stages and the Tour de France 2024 green jersey, he is a previous winner of the Alcudia Trophy. For the Spanish Movistar team, Minorcan Albert Torres is one of the leading names; he is a past participant in the Giro d'Italia.
