The recruitment of 60 staff for Sir Richard Branson's new hotel in Banyalbufar is well under way and there is one requirement for all prospective candidates...they must have their own car.
The Son Bunyola hotel, situated in scenic countryside with views over the sea, is certainly detached; in fact it is probably a three kilometre drive from the main gate, just on the outskirts of Banyalbufar, to the hotel. A car is vital. The Virgin Group is looking to recruit 60 staff including 18 waiters, 16 cooks and six receptionists. Fluent English and some German is required for most staff members.
The hotel will open on June 16, three months earlier than expected. This is Branson's biggest investment on the island since he sold the Hotel La Residencia in Deya. It is already being tipped as one of Mallorca's most luxury hotels and the opening is eagerly awaited.

Well well ; If you want to attract the Best people ; for the apparently to be the Best Hotel in Mallorca , during a worldwide shortage of staff ; And you need top qualified people ; you better put the Best conditions on the table .and that should include company vehicles . Once again no one has done the numbers ; You expect people to use their own vehicle , to get all the way to a very remote location , driving through the Tramuntana ; count the Fuel , and wear and tear on personal vehicles , you will constantly be getting “ sicky “ calls ; sorry Boss , cars broken , sorry Boss flat tyre ; Sorry Boss cant afford the fuel anymore :as by reading this it sounds as though there is no fuel allowance in the contract ; Btw ; is there Staff accommodation on site so they dont have to do 2 trips a day ? Lots of grey areas here , to work in a Luxury establishment .
"most luxurious" NOT "most luxury"
