Tourists come to Majorca on a budget

Dear Sir,
I see that the Holiday Tax issue is still on going. May I point out that 90% of holiday makers work to a strict budget and so will either look for somewhere else for their holidays or pay the tax and spend less when they are there. Either way I cannot see how this tax will help except to antagonise the people who have made Majorca such a prosperous island (ie Hoteliers, Shopkeepers, and of course the Tour operators). I am a frequent visitor but will certainly look at other options on the mainland or further afield as, no doubt, will many others.
