My wife and I came directly from the USA last year at this time for an 8 day holiday. We stayed at the Mardevall and loved your island. We went out for dinner every night and lunch often. We purchased clothing, glassware at Gordiola, visited touristic sights,drove thru the mountains and saw some of the beaches. We had so much fun that we booked two weeks this year at the same time to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary to travel again direct from the U.S. We had made all of our dinner reservations in advance, booked our car rental and again were going to stay at the Mardevall.

After learning about the car rental additional tax, all of the strikes that seem to be ongoing, the warnings about terrorism, the articles about the drugs etc. in Son Banya and the corruption charges, we decided it would be best to cancel our trip. We are very disappointed and sad as we love the island and told many friends about how wonderful it is. Now we have informed them of our cancellation and why.

You live in a paradise! Please don't let the government and others spoil it for you and us as tourists. We want to return.
