Dan Stevens. a former Merchant Navy officer and owner of a cruise company in Plymouth, went to the Southampton Boat Show one day, met an agent he knew and ended up buying Virgin Atlantic Challenger II, Richard Branson's 1986, record Atlantic-crossing power boat, which had been unused in Palma for several years. After an intensive seven weeks of refitting in Palma -- using the amazing local resources and a specialist team from the UK -- Stevens and his partner Jeremy Linford, have taken VACII to Plymouth.
