Dear Sir,
I READ with interest your report of the, State of the Balearics debate. To quote the statement by President Antich regarding his government's relationship with Madrid.......and fluid channels of dialogue it has developed with Madrid....
I wonder if any other of your readers read this as confession of the verbal diarrhea that Antich's team continually spout?
Yours,

Dear Sir,
RAY Fleming never misses an opportunity to curl his lips with a petty anti-American sneer. Sometimes they can be enjoyable, like Friday when he puffed Tony Blair's receiving some obscure award as a way of belittling the US by noting. It certainly counts for more than Tony Blair's Congressional Gold Medal of Honour, awarded to him for taking Britain to war in Iraq in 2003 - which, incidentally and perhaps understandably, Mr Blair has still not picked up.
One can be sure that if a cheque were attached or if the melt down value were a bit higher the Poodle would not be passing it up for so long. But then with the million dollar payoff, er, award from Dan David Foundation and the multi million dollar consulting fee from Goldman Sachs one supposes a mere honorific medal seems beneath his minimum deposit, er, dignity.
Of course as an American one cannot feel superior on the point as his pal and mentor Bill's financial depredations are so much larger that the post presidential millionaire Clinton probably still thinks of the nouveau riche Blair as his butler. Cicero said it best, O tempora! O mores!
