...If there is one thing to thank the Lib-Con coalition for it must be the presence in it of Vince Cable. He has had an unconventional career and is showing that his unpredictability has not been in any way subdued by becoming a senior minister. As Liberal Democrat economics spokesman before the election he had a wide public following because he made the issues clear. The City of London is calling him a “rabble-rouser” because of his declared intention of changng its ways. Most people think it is time for such a change.
