Dear Sir,

MAY I use the auspices of your column to express my heartfelt thanks to an unknown unsung Florence Nightingale who administered help and support to me at the Porto Pi bus stop on 1 October around 9.45am after I had collapsed on the ground. This angel of mercy called Sally, was French, who bathed my head and shoulders in cold water and generally comforted me as I lay on the ground until the ambulance arrived and the medical team took over. She then vanished. I would like her to know that I am now fit and well again enjoying my remaining days in this lovely island but I will forever remember her kindness and help. I don't know what it is but Majorca seems to us to be full of such generous and caring people.

If only you could bottle it and export it what a lovely world it would be. Many thanks.
Sincerely,

Geoff Sketchley
