I know bad news sells newspaper but at the moment I think I´ve had enough! The other night I was watching the BBC1 news and when we got to the weather I gave a sigh of relief. It is not all bad news of course. A group of property experts told me that it was a golden opportunity to buy if you had some ready cash. Also, the Balearics is not going to be hard as hit by the property slowdown as the maiinland; even in these recessionary times the Balearics is still one of the most sought after places to live and holiday in the world. You can even put a positive slant on the nose-dive of the pound against the euro; if you are heading back to Britain with a pocket full of euros this Christmas you will have far more spending money. There is always two-sides to every story and while there is plenty of bad news there are always some rays of sunshine. While property sales have fallen property rentals have increased and I was told in no uncertain terms that the British would be back next summer because they are going to go on holiday whatever the financial situation.
