...for the Sunday Times and the BBC's Panorama programme which both pursued investigations into corruption among several members of FIFA's executive committee that makes the final decision by secret ballot on the location of the final stages of the World Cup competition. Both organisations had to face accusations of harming England's bid for the 2018 event, including some that came from newspapers which should themselves be among the first to defend the freedom of the media.
