Dear Sir, IT is good to hear that the Soller Railway management are fully committed to improving their permanent way, to making level crossings safer and to accommodate an interchange station at Son Sardina where their present station appears to be closed. Did their management tell you what they are going to do about the locomotive body which has been left at Santa Maria halt ? This loco was exchanged some years ago for a valuable tram and trailer which the Soller Railway sent to Bilbao. The loco had come from the Museo Vasco del Ferrocarril of Azpeitia in the Basque region of northern Spain and was, at that time, quite a magnificent machine. Now, unfortunately, it lies in the middle of nowhere, at risk of vandalism or worse.
