Dear Sir,
Please thank Hugh Ash for exposing what lies behind that bunch of hypocrites that call themselves the BDS movement who are only out to destroy Israel, the only pro-West state in the Middle East which shares our common values.
The Israelis have a hard enough time combating terrorism and the hatred all around them without having to fight a PR war, as Mr.
Ash rightly calls it, against people who you would think have the brains to know better.
Britain fought a long war against terrorism in Northern Ireland and I am sure if America was bombarded with rockets by a warlike neighbour, even a weak President like Obama would do something about it pretty damned quickly.
But if Israel strikes back at aggressors or builds a wall round itself to protect it people from suicide bombers, it’s always knocked.
I think the truth is the world wants to gloss over who were the real victims of the Nazis and why Israel is important.
This was brought home to me by the statement on Holocaust Day made by Lady Ashton, who is supposed to be in charge EU foreign affairs, which didn’t even bother mentioning six million Jews were murdered.
Disgusting but typical of the double standards applied to Israel, particularly by that other gang of hypocrites, the European Union.
