Puerto Pollensa
Dear Sir,
My wife and I have for many years returned to Puerto Pollensa, having read your paper whilst on holiday I felt I had to comment on the barking dogs, Puerto Pollensa is no exception to this problem.
I always thought the British were a nation of dog and cat lovers, but the Spanish take it to a different level. We were surrounded by flats whose owners left their dogs to bark all night yapping or howling away, the streets of Puerto Pollensa are not paved with gold but dog poo, this has got much worse over the years.
I also would like the town council to ban cyclists from riding down the pine walk. We saw one child who had run from the beach narrowly being hit by a lady riding at speed along the footpath when there is a perfect good road behind the pine walk, and you have to have eyes in the back of your head if you want to stay safe.
Also I have never seen so many damaged cars, every car we passed on route to the beach was dented or scratched, and that’s why I never hire a car in Spain.
Anyway apart from that it was a lovely two weeks holiday.

Palma Airport chaos yesterday
Dear Sir,
Presume you were aware of the chaos at Palma yesterday. The luggage conveyor broke down, queues built, and nothing happens. If it were my airport I would have pulled the groud crew together, organised trollies and kept the airport flowing!!
Then to top it all we arrive in Bristol at 1.30p.m with at least 20 passengers with no luggage, all as one would expect fuming annoyed, and for us we had vital medicines and toiletries.
Luggage found today, no surprises in Palma, probably somewhere out of sight out of mind. Oh and we might see it back next Tuesday / Wednesday.
So on top of the recent strike activity, and care towards the money providers of us ‘Joe Public’, think we will go back to the other islands whom seem to appreciate the tourists somewhat better. It is a disgrace to be treated this way.
