Polishing up Majorca
Dear Sir,
I forwarded a link regarding Dubai overtaking Majorca as the preferred visit for those flying out of Manchester from my twitter account @eradheating.
In order to help Majorca understand that it requires a polish not just Magalluf but the island as a whole from reading your paper online.
Need to spend millions of Euros - No, do not change the wheel but make it run better and in time and relevant with your target market expectations.
We all are aware of trip advisor but understand its limitations. How about the Majorca Government introducing a food rating hygiene scheme (we love this over here it gives you confidence the basic food hygiene standard is in place) called Rate My Place.
More visitors will eat and purchase food outside their hotels increasing business for independent outlets selling food and seeing the rating displayed before purchasing.
It all adds to a better economy with more jobs created. See a low rating and you avoid the food store, coffee shop and restaurant
A poor rating will encourage outlets to up their game! Improve the offering starting with the basic requirement of Hygiene (Higher Standards).

Majorca can claim its place in the marketing of cuisine to its visitors.
