Dear Sir,
To appreciate this letter readers will probably have to dig out the front page of Saturday’s Daily Bulletin. The photo of the PM’s of Scotland and the UK, which also appeared in the Telegraph and on TV, is one of the most uncomplimentary I’ve seen. Perhaps the media were trying to be even handed after the Miliband/bacon sandwich furore. The photo shows Nicola Sturgeon and David Cameron meeting on the steps of Bute House – the 10 Downing Street of Scotland. They both look extremely awkward. David is on one foot the other behind the other as if he is about to curtsy to Sturgeon. Nicola has bowed her head toward Cameron. She is also on one foot with the other in the air akimbo as if (pardon the allusion) she’s passing wind. There must have been hundreds of snaps taken by the scores of professional photographers attending. The choice of this one will not have been accidental but to ridicule both politicians.
