Dear Sir,
I was dismayed this morning to see the reappearance of the multi-coloured inflatable amusements just off the shore at Palmanova.
Do we really need this eyesore for the rest of the summer months? In addition, quite a considerable space on the beach is taken up for storing the associated equipment and life-jackets.
Already there are pedalos, paddle boards and an ever-increasing number of sun beds, and at this rate there will soon be little room for the folk who enjoy a seat on the beach and a swim.
There are numerous water parks on the island for people to amuse themselves if they so wish.
Surely it’s not too much to ask that the lovely views from the beach are not spoiled by these monstrosities! I know I am not alone with this opinion.
Yours sincerely,
Sheila M. Mesa
Palmanova
