Dear Sir,
I would like to let your readers know of a Free superb facility being offered to disabled residents and holidaymakers in Cala Bona.
Son Severa Council has introduced a scheme whereby the disabled can enjoy a swim in the sea, which before might have been impossible for them.
Trained staff assist people to get across the Beach in special Buggies and into the sea. You are watched all the time you are in the sea.
There are special toilets and showers. I had a leg amputated 8 months ago, and I thought my swimming days were over but now due to this scheme, I have something to look forward to every day. The Beach is opposite Paula’s Supermarket, and the facility is open from 10 a.m.--1 pm.from Mon. --Sat., so please use it, or we could lose it.
Ken Monk, Cala Millor
