Dear Sir,
I agree with your recent correspondent regarding dog excretement in Pollensa, but would like to point out this problem is not unique to that area. I have recently purchased a holiday property in Portals Nous, not realising I was locating to the dog poo capital of Majorca.

One can only hope that if the proposed tourist tax is introduced, part of the revenue allocated to improving environmental standards on the island includes provision either for the removal of dog excretement from pavements and footpaths by the local council, or more effective policing of uncaring dog owners. This is currently a significant health hazard, certainly where I am residing.
