Dear Sir,
My wife and I travel several times a year to the lovely island of Mallorca as my wife’s family have owned an apartment in Illetas for more than 30 years. We arrived on the 1st January on an easyJet flight from Stansted at approx 3.15pm and were taken by bus to a side section of the airport, an area where they take passengers who need assistance in wheelchairs. We know this as we have come this way with my aged mother-in-law. We were the second UK flight to use this entrance and my wife and I were at the front of the queue for our flight.

I live near Puig de Maria and am one of the many locals and expats who walk to the refuge on most mornings. Over the past 20 years the couple who run the refuge have grown it into a popular venue for tourist and residents to enjoy. After 20 years of work the owners (the Bishop in Barcelona) decided to put the lease up for tender. The current team were outbid. They were then given just 3 weeks to pack and leave. Not very Christian treatment of people who have worked hard, paid the rent and provided service to the commmunity for 20 years.
