I have come to the conclusion that things can only get better in England. From now I forecast a rise in English fortunes for the simple reason that things can't get any worse! So happy Wednesday everyone. If you are English, then you will notice that there will be some good news after a week when we could have filled the Bulletin six times over with bad news.

It is only the media being incredibly negative in the UK, stirring up trouble. The FTSE 100 is back up to a high already.
May I suggest that The Bulletin Mr. Moore, concentrate on attacking the French Air Traffic Controllers. Also The scrapping of the Tourist Tax. THE EUSELESS EU. HAVE DONE NOTHING TO STOP THESE " FROGGY " CONTROLLERS FROM STRIKING, SINCE 1975. Very heavy very large Fines could have been imposed on France and its Air Traffic Organisation. Because Germany and France work hand in glove. They ( The E U Power ), will not severely punish The French. Afriend from UK , was delayed 6 Hours. Totally disgraceful.
I would like to point out that in fact we have not yet left the EU this will take place two years after we have initiated article 50 of the Lisbon treaty. For many people immigration was way down the list of problems in the uk. Sovereignty was certainly an issue for many and please do thank David Cameron and his conservative government, after all they have landed in this mess
The pound is rallying quite nicely thanks very much - or are you seeing different data to me (bbc.com) - plus the stock market is on the way back up too. The bottom line is that until we invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty nothing much is going to happen. The other European leaders have made that very plain. Meanwhile, the Bank of England and the Treasury seem to be doing a decent job. I'm not saying that there isn't some fallout from the referendum result like the rise in racially motivated crimes but the government have made it very plain that hate crime will not be tolerated and I believe that strong action will be taken against offenders. To say that things can't get worse is basically not true and doesn't help anyone.
Jason, if you think things are bad now, wait and see what will happen before you start collecting your pension ( if there is any money left in the kitty ), and it has nothing to do with the EU or the Euro.
"The fact that Britain has pulled out of the European Union is good news because the pound has now dropped to levels not seen since the Wall Street crash." A rather selfish comment don't you think Jason? One I doubt the British immigrants in the Balearics who only have a UK pension will agree with. It's not my case as I have a Spanish pension but I suspect that the majority don't and will see their incomes in euros seriously diminished.
We're doomed, Mr Mainwaring, doomed! Still, if you want to speculate, buy up all the cheap England flags being discounted close to zero in UK stores, then keep them safe for sale at a time when England soars above all others in both sport and politics. Remember to put moth-balls into storage with the flags.
BRITAIN WILL BE BOUNCING BACK SOON JASON, HAVE NO FEAR OF THAT.! We have had two wars, changed to decimal currency. Devalued when necessary. Recovered several times from major setbacks. Thankfully, we did not accept the Euro, and we have fought off Germany and France from getting economic control of Europe. Germany tried twice through war on Europe. Now their Economic attempt to control Europe, is failing fast.UK has LEFT EUROPE.
