The Labour Party is planning to guarantee immediately the rights of EU citizens living in Britain if it wins a June election. There are about three million EU citizens living in Britain, so it is a substantial part of the total population. Now, obviously I think it is fantastic idea because it will make life much easier for the 1.2 million British citizens living in Europe.

Says a June election,BUT,not the year as Labour under Corbyn has no chance of EVER leading Labour to a victory .So really he can promise all he wants ,knowing he will never have to deliver.
The whole Brexit is a shambles as is the political landscape in the UK . Labour has a leftover from the 70’s in charge , well leader (lose term) but not in charge and the Conservatives have someone who has to much in common with the Iron lady, and keeps that buffoon Johnson close to make herself look good . Neither of them is good for the UK now and will not be in the future, whatever transpires we will be sold down the drain one way or the other and the EU will be laughing their heads off .
Jeremy Corbin is a MUGWUMPS !
You say "I thought that Brexit meant Brexit and therefore legislation would be introduced to ease immigration. Doesn't appear so." The rights of EU citizens already living in the UK are one thing, future immigration of EU citizens is another.
