“I think this will be another holiday season to forget for Mallorca...” | M.A. CAÑELLAS

Mallorca is open for business; the majority of restrictions have been scrapped but there is a quietness about the island which is usually uncommon at this time of the year. It is as if the party hasn’t started yet and no-one is too sure when it is going to start. I headed to one of the beaches in Calvia on Sunday, under normal circumstances it would have been packed but not on Sunday.

Dear Jason A more positive comment would be. How can Mallorca attract people to have a Holiday. Can we get this Season started as soon as possible in July. Then extend this reduced period to CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR. You could interest Tour Operators, Airline Carriers etc. To accommodate a Season Extension. Hotels to stay open. All Businesses to remain open . Thereby a strong push to recover all their lost incomes. Giving a big opportunity for people to have a Holiday Break.
But, but , Jason, you wrote a screed of headlines last months saying, The Brits Are Coming!, Brits to Save Mallorca, it’s the Brits Wot Won it etc etc. Did I miss something or are you just writing whatever you think your employers and readers want to hear? The legend of the boy crying wolf comes to mind....
