“If the number of cases continues to rise then restrictions will have to be introduced...! | M.A. CAÑELLAS

There has been a surge in the number of Covid cases in the Balearics over the last few days. Until recently the islands were reporting figures in the low 20s and 30s but over the last two days there has been 200 new cases on the two consequative days. The knee jerk reaction is to blame the students, some of whom have been quarantined in a Palma hotel.

3 years ago you complained of too many British tourists now the complaint is there are not enough, How the worm turns, however if you have another covid surge no doubt it will have been bought about by British tourists, Not likely that it will have been caused by young partying Spaniards as they have already been released from quarantine because their parents complained they had been kidnapped. I would think the damage has already been done and by whom I wonder, better to put your own house in order first before looking for scapegoats when you have your next surge.
Totally agree your Comment. Warnings need to be promulgated in Mallorca, and the UK.
Do we clamp down everytime someone catches the flu, We have to learn to live with Corona. Keep your distance. I continually see groups of people inside pubs. Keep a distance and be outside as much as possible
At what point does life become not really a life worth living. If your scared stay indoors, please let the vast majority live out their years left in enjoyment. The spanish have a history of accepting dictatorship.
Yes restrictions were lifted to early. Now everyone will likely pay. The students and local street parties a perfect storm to make even more suffering for residents. Selfishness would be an understatement.
