The mobility plan’s forecast for reductions in car journeys in four years time are impossible without there being some restrictions being imposed. The failure to extend the rail network, especially to where it would make the most impact on car journeys (Alcudia and Pollença for one obvious example) has resulted in Mallorca being awash with cars, especially in the summer, but I’ve encountered heavy traffic many a time in the off-season too. For example, all trucks, busses, workers cars and normal persons could actually turn of their car while stopping and waiting. In many countries you are just alone to run the car standing still for up to one minute. This will reduce pollution and noise in town. Fines up to 300€ would be good. Same as not picking up after your dog. And all dirty worker cars that spit out smoke. Police should be able to ask for a new Itv...
