British musician and singer Gordon Mathew Summer, alias Sting arrives in Palma today ahead of his concert tomorrow night at the Bull Ring in Palma. The former Police front-man, who has enjoyed a string of chart-topping hits throughout his career, will be performing numbers from his latest album, Brand New Day. Sting first performed in Majorca in 1993 and over 14'000 people turned up to see the star at Son Pardo race track. Tomorrow night's concert is expected to be a sellout as he makes his long-awaited return to the island as part of his European tour. Last night, Sting kicked off the Spanish leg of his tour in Bilbao. Sting's latest album has been described as adult rock (AOR) and features influences from the world of jazz, pop, gospel and country. The concert will also feature numbers from his days with The Police.
