The temperature is nudging 30ºC and people are already complaining about the heat, with the summer yet to come, but 20-year-old Julie Armanda likes nothing more than slipping into her leathers and leaping on to the back of a fast and powerful motorbike. Majorca will be staging this year's national motorbike rally over the first weekend in July and Julie, a secretary from Palma Nova, has been elected as the rally's millennium mascot. Starting on July 1, hundreds of Harley Davidsons, superbikes, classic motorbikes and custom bikes will start rumbling into Palma ahead of the island-wide rally on July 2.
