Hollywood superstar Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith were the star attractions at the Real Club Nautico in Palma yesterday when they turned up for the third day of the Copa del Rey sailing regatta, in which Antonio Banderas's brother is racing with the Tau Ceramica crew. The couple, along with a number of guests slipped into the island on Thursday night and dined in Puerto Portals before retreating to the privacy of a yacht moored in the Real Club Nautico. Banderas and Griffith, who visited the island last summer, were kitted out in the Tau Ceramica racing colours, Banderas owns the racing yacht, and, on arriving, Banderas saluted the awaiting press, while Griffith turned her camera on the photographers. After posing for pictures, the Hollywood couple, joined King Juan Carlos of Spain, Prince Felipe and the Infanta Elena inside the exclusive yacht club. Before joining the crew on board Tau Banderas admitted that the crew has not had too much luck in this year's regatta, but he said that he hopes Tau would show an improvement during the last two days of racing. Banderas also revealed that once the summer holiday in Spain is over, he will be heading to Canada where he is to start filming his next movie. Morton Orwell is a film Banderas described as action with plenty of comedy and will be directed by Canadian Christian Duve. But the Mask of Zoro star certainly has his work cut out off the screen. Griffith said yesterday that she would like to have two more children if possible. She also said that Majorca is a very beautiful island, but it's difficult to see surrounded by so much press, the actress joked. Banderas and Griffith will be in Majorca until Sunday and will be spending most of the time aboard the yacht they have chartered for the weekend.
