Last night police were continuing with their hunt for the person who stabbed a 50-year-old German millionaire at her luxury home in La Mola, Andratx, on Friday evening. The body of Irmela Regina Femmer was found by the Guardia Civil lying in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor at her home on Friday night after the alarm was raised by concerned neighbours and close friends who had seen nothing of the victim for a couple of days. The 50-year-old had been stabbed twice. The property and the area were immediately sealed off by police as a manhunt swung into operation. The police are working on a number of hypotheses but robbery has been ruled out as a motive for the crime. Police found everything inside the house as normal and valuable jewellery kept in the safe had not been touched. One theory is that it was a crime of passion. Yesterday Andratx Local Police joined the search which by last night had spread out across the municipality of Andratx and to various locations in Majorca. Forensics have been combing the house for clues and a number of items have been taken away for further investigation.
