The Easter funfair has opened and this year there are more attractions than ever, many of them not for the faint of heart. The official name of the fair is Fira del Ram or Palm Sunday fair, but tradition calls for it to open long before that, and there were huge crowds on Sunday afternoon, as the young and young at heart queued to try some of the rides. The new attractions include a big dipper which was purchased at the end of last year and has only been seen at one fair on the Peninsula so far. This is proving to be one of the most popular rides at the fair. For small children there is an attraction called Mr Bean, based on the popular character created by Rowan Atkinson. It is like a several storey theatre, linked by ladders.
