Having an idea for a story, a book or a script for television, radio or film is one thing, writing it is another, but the hardest task of all is selling or pitching the idea to secure a sale or a commission and ultimately to make some money. This weekend international literary, film and television agent Julian Friedmann is holding another two-day workshop for novelists and scriptwriters which will focus on the practical aspects of developing ideas for scripts and novels. The workshop includes the preparation for creating characters that will drive a story forward and how to write synopses and treatments that will help sell the story. The workshop has been carefully designed to enable participants to develop ideas into successful stories. Most stories do not work because the foundation -the characters and the basic idea - has not been properly set up.
So you think you´ve got a story to tell?
