A massive murder hunt was underway yesterday after 58-year-old Jose Algar Sanchez was beaten and battered to death inside a Palma bar. The body was found by the new owner of the bar Meson Victoria as he opened up for business shortly before 6.30am. Sanchez, from Cordoba, has only recently started work at the bar and the owner had allowed the 58-year-old to sleep in the bar after having to leave the city centre hostal where he had been living. As the bar owner arrived, the first thing he noticed was that the door was open and the lights off. But little did he know as he entered the bar that he was walking in to a brutal murder scene. He switched on the lights to reveal a large pool of blood on the floor and next to a mattress on the floor the body of Jose Algar Sanchez.
