Balearic residents approve of what the local government have done so far and have failed the opposition, according to the results of a survey conducted by Forma Consultors for our stablemate Ultima Hora. Twenty nine per cent of those consulted considered that the Balearic government was doing a good job, while 46 per cent said that it was acceptable, six per cent that it was very good, 6.6 per cent very bad and 12 per cent bad. Leader Frances Antich got the most marks, 5.65 out of ten, followed by Damià Pons, the minister of education, and Pere Sampol the deputy leader. But former leader Jaume Matas only polled 4.61 points. The government is least popular in Majorca, where it obtained only 5.21 points, compared to 5.75 for the Balearics in general.
