Not everyone enjoys giving parties, but Shirley Scott de Sobron is a real party animal. However, she had been mulling over the idea of organising a birthday party this summer when her friends from Centre Stage production said we'll come and do a sing-song. This comment germinated into a very successful benefit do, since Shirley said she would hold a party, but that people who wanted to come could pay for a ticket in aid of the Friends of the Hospices association in Majorca. In all she had some 60 people in her wonderful apartment that overlooks Puerto Andratx, including the British Consul Alan Smith and his wife Elena. Shirley then proceeded to gather a wide selection of gorgeous raffle prizes, from many generous donors including return flight to London from Flight Directors and dinners at the Casino and Son Amar.
Successful benfit party
