Port de Pollença was in mourning yesterday after Rafael Borras and his hang glider crashed into the Es Murterar power station in Alcudia. Borras was killed instantly. Damage to the power station was limited. Police have launched a full investigation but initial enquiries state that it was a freak accident. Borras was an experienced ultra-light pilot, sub-champion in Spain. He had also taken part in numerous international competitions. Borras started flying hang gliders fifteen years ago.
