It maybe May but the darling buds were getting a good soaking yesterday as near torrential rain fell across the island causing much disruption. As forecast the overnight temperatures dropped sharply and small amounts of snow are believed to have fallen in mountains areas. Tourists and residents alike are baffled by the weather and the few sun seeking tourists were yesterday forced to take cover. And there was further bad news yesterday as the Palma Met Office forecast more heavy rains for today, Saturday. A cold front from the mainland is sweeping across the Balearics causing havoc. But there is some good news. The Palma Met Office is forecasting a gradual improvement in the weather tomorrow, Sunday. You never know...the sun may even come out!.
