If the dress rehearsal was anything to go by, the new Centre Stage Productions show, the Lional Bart musical Oliver, will have audiences asking for more. Taking the leading role of the young orphan Oliver Twist is Nicholas Just, a ten-year-old Swiss boy, making his debut in a musical. The other leading players are Xisco Bosch as Bill Sikes, Alicia Forneri as Nancy, Rainier Bosoff as Fagin and Carlos Amengual as the Artful Dodger. The cast numbers 120 in all, of several nationalities, and the show will be in Spanish. Music will be provided by a 12 piece orchestra. Oliver will be performed at the Auditorium from September 19 to 22. The company is also preparing an end-of-year concert with Disneysongs.
