The parents of Jeffrey Hodgson, whose body was found in Ibiza last October, 16 months after he went missing, said on the holiday island yesterday that there are still many unanswered questions and doubts surrounding their 38-year-old son's death. Derek and Beryl who have returned to Ibiza to collect their son's body, said yesterday that they still can not believe that Jeffrey, who had a mental age of eight, went missing on his own accord and made his own way to the rocky and dangerous area where his skeleton was found. What is more, the area where the body was found is near the hotel in which they were staying and Beryl can not believe it took police and searchers 16 months to find the body being so close to the hotel. Members of the British police and special dog handlers joined the search in the early days, but did not search the area where the body was found because the Spanish army said they had combed the area. Yesterday the parents laid a wreath at the site where Jeffrey's remains were found by a hiker. The last time they saw their son was before they went to check in to their hotel. Police believe he wandered off, lost himself in the hills and died when he fell, trying to climb a steep cliff face. The parents, however, are not satisfied.
