The last baby born in 2002 arrived in Manacor and the first birth in 2003 took place in Palma. The last baby of the year was Adrià Vives Mulen, who was born in the Manacor hospital shortly before midnight. Both parents expressed their delight at the new addition to their family. The first baby of the year, Sebastià Adrover Mas, was born in Son Dureta just 15 minutes before 1am. Proud father Miguel Adrover, who was present at the birth, said that everything had been normal. His wife, Maria Magdalena, was taken to hospital at 8.30pm. The couple were married in October 2001. The second baby of the year, a girl, was born in the new Son Llatzer hospital at 4.38am, narrowly beating the third baby, a boy, who arrived at 4.45am. The first baby born in Manacor this year did not arrive until mid-day, and there were no births at the Miramar.
