PRIME Minister Tony Blair has appealed to the Spanish authorities to improve and make the road between Ibiza town and the resort of San Antonio safer after 30 people, including many British tourists, died on the road over recent years. Blair has given the necessary instructions to Foreign Secretary Jack Straw to contact the Ibizan authorities to resolve the situation. All the people who have died in recent years have been pedestrians.
