A Provincial court has sentenced three young men to prison for four years each for a vicious assault which took place in April 2010, in what has become known as the “alleyway of terror” which links Gomila with the Paseo Maritimo in Palma.

The three accused, who were found guilty, apparently became enraged with the victim after an argument in the alleyway. The victim managed to escape the first attack and staggered as far as the Paseo Maritimo, but his assailants caught up with him and continued the savage beating. They continued to kick him on the ground after he had fallen into unconsciousness with multiple skull fractures.
