Residents in Costa de la Calma in Calvia and people using the beach at Cala Blanca have once again complained about the risk to public safety from large rocks which have been prone to break away from the cliff face and tumble down towards the sea.

One resident said yesterday that “no-one has bothered” to do anything about making the area safe for both local people and tourists. “It's a real risk sitting on the beach ... at any given moment, the rocks could become dislodged and cause serious harm to beach users. “It's probably just a question of luck that no one has been hurt so far. But someone needs to take responsibility.”
