After the persistent rainfall in recent days, the natural Fonts Ufanes underground springs on the publicly owned country estate of Gabellí Petit in Campanet broke through to the surface in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The Environment ministry said that the springs are likely to remain gushing across the surface for several days if there is further rain. The public can visit the springs any day of the year between 10am and 5pm but there is a 30 minute walk through the wood to reach the site. Last year the springs bubbled to the surface in February and four times in November.
