Pollensa.—At the end of the ESRA North annual Christmas Lunch there were three unanswered questions. How does ESRA North continue to organise large events so well? How on earth does Restaurant Trio manage to cook so many enormous turkeys, and how did ESRA North manage to get the normally formal Juan from Trio to burst into laughter?

Over 130 members and their guests enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and Christmas atmosphere of Trio. There was a special raffle, crackers and entertainment provided by Becky. Members had been able to book tables for themselves and friends, which certainly ensured that the wine and the conversation flowed. Each table had a massive turkey, carved by someone from the table with traditional vegetables. There was so much turkey that, I am sure, many pets ate royally that evening, judging by the number of “doggie bags” that were produced.

The Bulletin was again well represented, with Bulletin contributors, Dr. George Giri and Dorothy Loeffler contributing to interesting table topics.
Events like this are magic occasions, when friends, who haven't seen each other can catch-up, and new friends are made. What a happy occasion. Congratulations again ESRA North, and especially to Joyce Thewlis who organised the event.
