The National Police arrested a 28-year-old man on Monday morning under the suspicion of being responsible for at least five robberies carried out in the Son Gotleu neighbourhood of Palma.

The 28-year-old also faces alleged charges of threatening behaviour and violence.
According to the Nation al Police, the five robberies were carried out between January 12 and 22.
The suspect is alleged to have robbed two food stores, two hair salons and an arcade.
Wearing a cap and a hood, the suspect is accused of having threatened staff with a large knife while be robbed the cash tills and fled.
Witnesses apparently provided the National Police with sufficient evidence to identify the suspect who is due to appear in court this morning.
