PALMA A Balearic-based teachers' union, ANPE, presented a new campaign yesterday aiming to protect its members from bullying by aggressive students . A union representative explained that from now on, the “Teachers' defence” department will help those who have been bullied. Apparently, since 2005 there have been some 150 victims in the Balearics claiming they have been abusively treated by students.


The free service will provide continuous protection to teaching staff through telephone and e-mail contact with specialist support including a psychologist and doctor. Over the past 5 years, “Teachers' defence” has treated 10'550 staff throughout Spain who claim to have been bullied by students.
