THE former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan, is understood to be restoring a large finca in Deya.
Brosnan is known to be a fan of the island, and, ever since a visit in 1999 when he stayed at the Hotel La Residencia in Deya, rumours about the actor purchasing a property on the island have been rife. However, it now appears that he has bought a large “stone-walled” property on the mountain side just outside Deya.
The actor joins a long list of rich and famous buying property in Deya, already home to a large celebrity community, over the past few years.
Brosnan, whose latest film “Matador” has received rave reviews has recently handed over his 007 mantle to Daniel Craig.
Whether “Q” has been brought in to oversee security at the property remains a mystery.
